YOU ARE INVITED TO PORTLAND OREGON FOR

THE 7TH ANNUAL NW SASH BASH, MARCH 2-3-4, 2012

Since the 1980s, members of the Northwest’s leather community have made indelible marks on the world-wide leather scene, whether forming clubs, providing leadership, or through the power of the press.  From March 2-4, 2012, the current family of International and National Leather Titleholders will help celebrate the Northwest’s history and community.

Northwest Sash Bash will be an event to remember as it plays host to a variety of events, including a fantastic show, a play party, club nights, meals, workshops, and a few surprises!

Mr. Oregon State Leather 2011, Tarsus, Ms. Oregon State Leather 2011, Ms Tracey, and Oregon State Bootblack 2011, Nick, are active members of the local leather community.  We have had wonderful leaders and organizations come out of the Northwest, and this gathering will include not only our own local Leather and Bear titleholders from Oregon and Washington, but also a stellar mix of national and international guests!

We will be extending invitations to the International Master/slave, International Mr. & Ms. Leather, Mr. & Ms. International Bootblacks, International LeatherSir/boy, International Community Bootblack, International Mr. & Ms. Deaf Leather, International Deaf Leatherboy, American Leatherman, American Leatherwoman, American Leatherboy, Mr. & Ms. Olympus Leather, and Oregon and Washington Leather, Bootblack and Bear titleholders, community leaders, and entertainers.

Proceeds from Northwest Sash Bash 2012 will benefit Neighborhood House, Bradley Angle, and the travel funds for Mr. & Ms. Oregon State Leather and Oregon State Bootblack.

About Northwest Sash Bash

In April 2005, Mr. Oregon State Leather 2004 Andy Mangels and Ms. Oregon State Leather 2004 Theresa “Darklady” Reed hosted the inaugural Leather Sash Bash Weekend, inviting current Leather titleholders from around the country to visit Portland for a contest-free weekend. The event provided an opportunity for titleholders past and present to socialize and network in a relaxed atmosphere.

Among the titleholders who attended in 2005 were International LeatherSir Robert Davis, American Leatherman Robert Napolitano, International Deaf Leather Teddy O’Rourke, International Ms. Deaf Leather Steff, Ms. Olympus Leather Caro, Mr. Olympus Leather Freddie, and new West Coast titleholders Washington State Mr. Leather Rusty Jones, Washington State Ms. Leather Shelley Denton, and Mr. Los Angeles Leather Cody Haugland. Several other past regional titleholders were also present.

Following the event, a small group of attendees from Seattle and Portland decided that it would be great to have Leather Sash Bash Weekend continue on an annual basis, renamed Northwest Sash Bash. The event would rotate between Northwest cities, with the next one planned to be in Seattle.  In 2011, the planning committee decided that NW Sash Bash should have a permanent home.  We are proud that the event has settled in Portland and are dedicated to making NW Sash Bash a world class leather event!

Northwest Sash Bash Weekend is produced by Blackout Leather Productions of Oregon, Inc., a nonprofit corporation comprised of volunteers from Oregon's Leather community.  For more information about Blackout, visit their website.
